Janet Reichert

Janet Reichert, age 82 of Olmsted Falls, passed away on January 17, 2025, at Normandy Care Center in Rocky River, Ohio. 

Born on October 25, 1942, in Lorain, Ohio, Janet’s life was marked by her steadfast commitment to her family and her passion for various hobbies.

Throughout her career as a machine operator, Janet exemplified the values of hard work and perseverance, earning the respect of her colleagues and contributing significantly to her field. She took great pride in her profession while balancing the demands of family life.

Janet's legacy is a testament to her love for her family, particularly her cherished grandchildren. Her proudest accomplishment was living for them, a role she embraced with joy and affection. Janet was the loving mother of three sons, Gary Reichert, Brad (Stephanie) Reichert, and Keith Reichert, who carry forward her spirit and love. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Mia, Braden, Averie, and Caryn, who brought immense joy to her life.

In her leisure time, Janet enjoyed a variety of activities that reflected her vibrant personality. She found pleasure in bowling, showcasing her competitive spirit, and engaged in needlepoint, allowing her creativity to flourish. An avid fan of sports, she passionately supported the Cavaliers and Guardians while enjoying her favorite game shows, which brought laughter and entertainment to her home.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine Resek; and her brother, William Resek. 

Janet Reichert will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on through her family and friends.  Private graveside services were held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
