Jeannette Colon, born on May 27, 1964, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on December 3 2024, at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center in Elyria, Ohio. She was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to her and loved ones, embodying the true essence of nurturing and love.
Jeannette's role as a proud wife, mother, and grandmother defined her life, as she cherished every moment spent with her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jaime Colon, and her four sons, Jaime (Sarah) Colon Jr., Luis (Laura) Colon, Reinaldo (Byron) Colon, and Christopher (Ariana) Colon as well as 5 grandchildren, who carry on her legacy of love and devotion. Jeannette is also remembered by her brothers, Jose Torres Lopez and Andres Torres Lopez.
Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family, including the enduring memories created during her life. Jeannette had a passion for collecting angel figurines and statues, a hobby that reflected her gentle nature and belief in nurturing the spirit.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Colon; parents, Andres Torres and Ada Lopez; as well as her siblings, Marisol Torres and Armando Torres.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dovin Funeral And Cremation Specialists, located at 2701 Elyria Ave, Lorain, OH 44055. Following this, a funeral service will take place on the same day from 12:00 PM. Deacon Rocky Ortiz of Sacred Heart Chapel will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Jeannette’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and familial bonds. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
