Jeramie Los

Jeramie M. Los, age 44, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025, after a long health battle.

He was a happy-go-lucky person as well as a go-getter. He was ambitious and was always striving to work hard to take care of his family and he was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. Jeramie attended Lorain City Schools and then went on to attend welding classes at JVS. From there he worked at A1 Welding in Lorain for 25 years as a welder, fabricator, and sandblaster and steel painter alongside his Uncle Joe until the business closed due to the covid outbreak and other circumstances. Despite this, Jeramie continued to work at odd jobs and as a handyman for his family to keep his family of four going.

Jeramie’s favorite pastime was taking his two children to Lakeview Park in the spring and summer to play as well as Cascade Park and other local parks and he often took them swimming. In the winter time he often took them sledding and was teaching them to ice skate or just playing with them out in the snow. He also enjoyed long car rides and movie nights with his family. Jeramie also attended school functions and supported his son in the Robotics Program where his son won a NASA Robotics Award and his daughter won an award for exceeding in her curriculum.

Jeramie is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Los Sr., and Kathleen Los; his paternal grandfather, Samuel Birach; aunts, Linda Mogus, Mary Ann Bertram, Tressy Bonecutter and Christine Los; uncle Joe Los as well as his cousins, Shelby Seals and Summer Bonecutter.

He is survived by his paternal grandmother, Catherine Birach; parents, John Los Jr. and Susan Los; brother, John Los III; fiancé of 14 years, Kimberly Bowman; son, Jeramie Michael Los Jr.; daughter, Jasmine Los; aunts and uncles, Butch and Karen Trautwein, Brian and Cathy Smith, Bill and Sandy Seals and his uncles, Philip Los and Samuel Birach as well as several cousins and many nephews and nieces.

He will be loved now and forever. Private family services were held. Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists handled the arrangements.
