Joan G. Dzikielewski

Joan G. Dzikielewski (nee Samsel) age 82, of Lorain, died on Monday, November 30, 2009 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on March 1, 1927 and has been a lifelong resident here.
She was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church, Lorain. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Aux #451.
Joan enjoyed flowers, gardening, music, and art.
She is survived by her daughter: Germaine "Gerry" (Allan) Anuskiewicz of Lorain, grandchildren: Debra Wallace, of Amherst, Diane Janicki, of Lorain and great grandchildren: Kristen and Josh Wallace.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leo S. Dzikielewski in 2006, parents: Frank and Helen (nee Nowicki) Samsel, and her 3 sisters; Gertrude Lunn, Lillian Machnick, and Virginia Bosko.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 4, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where services will be held on Saturday at 10:45 am. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. Robert J. Glepko, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
