Joey A. Fetty, age 39, of Lorain, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born March 23, 1980 in Amherst, Ohio, to Pamela (Fetty) Jones and Ronald R. Fetty. He attended Brookside High School, received his GED and then graduated from Vatterott College in Cleveland as an electrician.
Joey worked many years as an electrician. One of his greatest contributions as an electrician was his work with Hurricane Katrina Relief for 2 years in New Orleans. His hobbies consisted of hunting and fishing, target practice and riding motorcycles. He was also a football fan and loved his home team the Cleveland Browns.
He is survived by his mother, Pamela (Keith) Jones; father Ronald R. (Marilyn) Fetty; a sister, Brandy Sherrill and girlfriend of 12 years, Alana Ceccardi. Joey was a father figure to Alana's children, Arlene, Alyssa, Kyle and Hallie. He was also the grandchild of Carmella Combs, Greenway Jr. Baisden, Mavis Baisden. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joey was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charlie Combs in 2005.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 12:00 pm until the time of services at 1:00 pm at the Sheffield Church of God, 2280 N. Abbe Road, Sheffield, Ohio 44054. The Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
