John Ray Hogue, 48, of Elyria, died on Monday, May 10, 2004 at his home, while under the care of New Life Hospice, following a lengthy illness.
Born on Feburary 16, 1956 in Salineville, Ohio and moved to Elyria 29 years ago.
John was employed by the Lorain County Engineer Highway Department for 25 years.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Restored Gospel, Lorain. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family activities, camping and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years: Cindy (Altomare) Hogue, daughter: Crystal Marie Williams, of Elyria, son: John Carl Hogue, of Columbus, 2 granddaughters: Ashley Hogue and Destiny Williams, mother Virginia Rush, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 13, 2004 from 5 9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ, 2655 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Elders Mark Naro and Frank Palacios will officiate. Burial will b e in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township.
