John Dwayne McIntosh

John Dwayne McIntosh, age 70, of Hamilton Township, Michigan, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024.

Born in Perry County, Kentucky, on September 21, 1954, he moved to Lorain in 1955 and graduated from Southview High School in 1973. After graduating high school, John moved to Ypsilanti, Michigan, to work at General Motors.

John enjoyed fishing, hunting, and family gathering.

Surviving are his sisters, Bobbie Coleman and Della Brown, both of Lorain; a brother, James McIntosh of Ypsilanti, Michigan; grandchildren, Seth and Kylie; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda McIntosh; parents, John and Elizabeth McIntosh, and a sister, Mary Akers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 27o1 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, from 10:00 a.m. until funeral services at noon. Rev. Collin Matheny, of Toledo Road Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
