John W. "Jack" Woods, 78, of South Amherst, died Thurs, Dec. 11, 2008 at Oak Hills Nursing Center, Lorain.
He was born May 8, 1930 in Pine Bluff, WV and came here in 1977. He served in the Army in Korea from 1952-1954. Prior to retiring he was a farm worker.
Surviving are a brother, James Woods, of South Amherst, sister, Laveda Woods and a half- brother, Donald Cecil, both of WV and his legal guardian, Heather Shirley, of Vermilion.
Services were Monday, Dec. 15, in Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St., Shinnston, WV, with burial following in Pine Bluff Cemetery.
