Jorge Flores

Jorge Flores, 72, of Lorain, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Jorge was born to Pedro and Guadalupe (nee Delgado) Flores, the second oldest of eleven children. He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel and attended St. Francis Xavier Cabrini. He completed his associate degree at LCCC before meeting his wife Gloria Zavala. Jorge worked at Lake Terminal Railroad before moving on to BF Goodrich as a lab technician.  In 2003 he transitioned to a position delivering auto parts for Budget Auto Parts in Lorain. 

He was greatly loved by his family and was a devoted grandfather who drove countless miles to spend time with his daughters and grandchildren. Jorge was known for his crass sense of humor, love of outdoors, and cooking. His family meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Gloria Zavala; his daughters: Liana (Joe Johnson) Flores and Micaela (Ryan) Patterson; seven grandchildren; siblings: Pedro Jr., David, Carlos, Esperanza (Rosalez), Jaime, Antonia (Humphrey), Martin, Maria Luisa, Jose, Ramona (Griffin) and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he cherished.

His loving parents as well as his siblings, Carlos and Consuelo Flores, preceded Jorge in death.
