Jose M. Diaz, age 35, of Lorain, died on Friday, January 12, 2007, from injuries he sustained in a fall at the US Steel Plant, Lorain.
He was born on August 12, 1971 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He has lived in the Lorain area the last 10 years.
Currently he was employed by SES, Inc., an industrial cleaning company that contracted at US Steel. Prior to that he worked at other contracting companies at the mill and Invacare, Elyria and Pipeline Development, Westlake.
Mr. Diaz collected Hot Wheels cars and enjoyed building model cars. He enjoyed Hispanic music.
He is survived by his twin daughters, Angelina and Bianca Diaz, of Elyria; his mother, Blanca Perez, of Hatillo, Puerto Rico; 3 sisters, Betzaida, of Bronx, NY, Yolanda, of New Jersey and Mary of Puerto Rico.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rogelio Diaz.
Funeral services and burial will be held in Hatillo, Puerto Rico.
Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, handled local arrangements.
