Josefina "Tina" Baez-Gonzalez, 52, of Lorain, died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Lake Pointe Health Center, Lorain, following a sudden illness.
She was born January 21, 1955 in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, coming to Lorain in 1960 where she has lived since.
She was a 1973 graduate of Lorain High School, and attended Lorain Community College.
She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Oberlin, and enjoyed reading, writing and crocheting.
Surviving is her son, James L. Fox of Lorain; a daughter, Erica Gonzalez of Lorain; a grandson, James Fox, Jr., a brother, Jose Baez Jr. of Lorain; and 4 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose "Pepe" Baez Sr., in 2006, and Julia (nee Gonzalez) Baez in 1967.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Iglesia Manantial, 3501 Broadway Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
