Josephine A. Prosowski

Josephine A. "Josie" Prosowski (nee Sobotka), age 80, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on March 19, 1929 in Lorain and resided here her entire life.
Josie attended grade school at St. Stanislaus.
She was employed as a custodian for many years at the Avon Lake Theatre.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church for many years until recently joining Catholic Church of St. Peter.
Josie enjoyed her time with the family, especially her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Frank A. Prosowski, Sr., of Sandusky, son, Frank A. (Carolyn) Prosowski Jr., of Elyria, daughter, Helen A. Prosowski, of Sandusky, son, Daniel D. (Helena) Prosowski, of Lorain, 5 grandchildren and,6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Adam and Cecelia (nee Lenkiewicz) Sobotka, and her brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 4-6 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. The Rev. Fr. Ken Wolnowski, Pastor, will officiate.
