Juana Soto, age 87, of Lorain, died on Monday, October 08, 2007 at her home, while under the care of Hospice of Western Reserve.
She was born on January 12, 1920 in Lares, Puerto Rico, moving to this area 48 years ago.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain.
Juana enjoyed sewing, taking walks and singing church hymns.
She is survived by her sons; Angelo Capetillo, of Elyria, Kenneth Capetillo, of Neveda, and William Capetillo, of FL, daughters: Luz Alicia Roman, of FL, Emma Nereida Velazquez, Irma Luz Roman, all of California, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a brother Felipe Soto, of NY.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Antonio and Roperta (nee Lopez) Soto, son: Sigfredo Ramos, daughter: Gladys Nereida Ramos, four brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, from 5-8 pm., in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where services will be held the following morning at 8:45 am. A funeral mass will follow at 9:30 a. m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Franco Velazquez, grandson, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
