Judith A. "Judy" Novak, (nee Harper), 55 of Lorain, died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at her residence.
She was born November 27, 1950 in Charleston, West Virginia; she lived in Connersville, PA, before coming to Lorain in 1955. She was a 1968 graduate of Admiral King High School.
A homemaker for most of her life, she worked at the former Big Town in Lorain as a cashier in the late 1970's for a short time.
She attended Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Lorain, and enjoyed gardening, yard work and cooking.
Surviving is her husband of 26 years, Edward; a son, Tim of Elyria; a daughter, Christine Soto of Ashland; 5 grandchildren; her mother, Maryjane Huffman and step father Kenneth Huffman of Lorain; brothers, Robert Harper and John Harper both of Lorain; sisters, Carol Uhlein of Amherst, and Grace Sturgell of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Harper in 1990.
A funeral mass will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 1709 E. 31st Street, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Paul Krajnik, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
