Judith Lee Pilarsh, age 69, of Lorain, died on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at her home, following a brief illness.
She was born on October 16, 1941 in Fremont, Ohio, moving to Lorain in 1958.
Judy was employed as a laundry supervisor at Golden Acres, Amherst for 26 years, retiring in 2004.
She enjoyed playing pinochle and collecting, as well as watching, Walt Disney movies.
Judith leaves behind many relatives and friends who loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed, especially for her great compassion and wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her son, Michael L. (Deborah), of Lorain, daughter, Fay (Dominic Palmieri) Yee, of LaGrange, son-in-law, Terrance Yee, of Lorain, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a brother, Leonard J. (Judy) Pilarsh, of Oberlin, sisters; Rita Major, of Newberry, MI, Sandra (James) Morgan, of Ocala, FL, Renee Garcia, of Lorain, and Cynthia Meza, of Lorain. She is also survived by her dog "Sassy".
She was preceded in death by her parents; Leonard F. "Lenny" Pilarsh, in 1995 and Lillian Mae (nee Peck) Pilarsh, in 1996, and a grandson, Bret Michael.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Judy's cousin, Rev. Dave Martin, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
