Julia Bomback, (nee Duray), 84 of Lorain, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Rae-Ann Suburban Nursing Home, Westlake, following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 18, 1925 in Lorain, she lived here her entire life.
Julia was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, cross stitching, and crocheting. Known as a selfless person, Julia always looked out for others. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.
She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Surviving are her sons, Ron (Sharon) and Les (Marge) both of Lorain, Gary of Amherst; a daughter, Cathy Kelly (Marty), of Lorain; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Kuzniar and Erma Reed both of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, Frank in 2002 ; a grandson, Lee Alan Bomback; brothers, John Jr., and Frank; sisters, Mary Richi, Margaret Rich, Amelia Cassidy and Ann Roberto.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 - 7:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Monday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by mass at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Joseph West, OFM Conv. pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
