Julia Papp, (nee Gergely), age 86 of Lorain, died on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Five Star Group Home, Avon Lake, following a short illness.
She was born on January 26, 1921 in Lorain, where she has lived her entire life. She was a member of Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ, Lorain. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking and working in her yard.
Surviving is her sister: Rosemary Zurkan, of Lorain, brother: Alex Gergely of Avon and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Edward Leshinski in 1970 and second husband: Alexander Papp in 1983, her parents: Alex Gergely in 1963 and Sophie Czompay in 1989 a sister: Ethel Hare in 1983, brother John Gergely in 1993.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain and also on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. at Hungarian Reformed Church, 3036 Globe Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Peter Toth, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
