Katherine Paul (nee Fush), age 87, of Lorain, died on Friday, January 26, 2007 at St. Mary of the Woods, Avon, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on June 23, 1919 in, Lorain, where she had lived most of her life. She also resided in Elyria and most recently, Avon Lake.
She was employed at Western Automatic as an inspector for 10 years. Prior to that, she also had worked at General Industries for a few years.
Katherine was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church, Lorain, where she was also a member of the Legion of Mary and their Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Slovenian Lodge in Lorain.
She had enjoyed walking, riding her bike , and traveling. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for others, putting together puzzles and playing cards.
She is survived by her sons; Dennis, of Lakewood, and Allen, of Avon Lake, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a brother, Steve Fush, of Lorain, and a sister, Gazella Seng, of Zephyr Hills, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joseph Paul, on May 18, 2003, her parents, Steve and Kedi (nee Matan) Fush, a brother, Brother John Paul Fush (Franciscan Monk), and sisters; Mary Sukalac, Regina Garcia, Anna Plosunak, and Rose Cornsweet.
The family will receive friends for a memorial mass at St. Mary of the Woods Chapel, 35755 Detroit Road, Avon, Ohio 44011, on Tuesday, January 30, at 11:00 a.m.
