Katherine A. Pozik (nee Durasin), age 80, of Lorain, died on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Community Health Partners, Lorain.
She was born on February 22, 1930 in Blairsville, PA moving to this area in 1955.
She was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish.
Katherine loved being with her grandchildren and spoiling anyone who would let her. She also adored her bird, "Petey". She enjoyed listening to polka music and dancing with her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph, daughter in law, Sherry Justice-Snowden, of Lorain, grandchildren, Erik Pozik of Lorain, Amber Cochran of Amherst, Alysha Pozik and Alana Snowden, both of Lorain, 1 great granddaughter, Cheyenne Justice of Lorain, brother, Matthew Durasin of Lorain and sister, Judy Asbee of Derry, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; John J. and Catherine A. (nee Skander) Durasin, son, Joseph J. Pozik, in 2008 and brothers; Steve and John.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5-7 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be on Wed., at 11:00 a.m. Deacon Luis Maldonado, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
