Krstin Kotevski, age 88, of Lorain, died on Monday, April 20, 2009, at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain.
He was born on May 13, 1920 in Nakolec, Macedonia, Yugoslavia, coming to the United States in 1974. Krstin served in the Yugoslavian Army for 2 years, during World War II.
He was employed as a laborer in the Manufacturing Dept. of Foseko in Cleveland for 10 years, retiring in 1985. Prior to this he owned a farm in Nakolec, Macedonia.
Krstin enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nikolinka (nee Crkovski), sons: Vlade Koteff of Vermilion, Blagojce Kotevski, of Lorain, daughters, Vera Williams and Elizabeth Raymond, both of Amherst and 10 grandchildren; Michael, Amanda, Williams, Justin, Kyle, Tim, Stefan, Niki, Cory, and Logan.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Alekso and Guveza Koteff, brother, Spase Kotevski and sister, Dosta Vasilevski.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 22 from 6-8 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Thursday, at 10:00 am at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, 3056 Reeves Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44055. The Rev. Fr. Paul Monkowski, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
