Leona Borer (nee Bodi), age 89 of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Kingston of Vermilion following a lengthy illness.
Born January 30, 1928 in Sandy Run, Pennsylvania, she moved to Lorain in 1946.
Surviving are her daughters, Carol Cordova of Lorain, Janet Davis of Cleveland, Patricia Schrull and Nancy Ritenaur both of Lorain; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson; a brother, John Bodi of Lorain; sisters, Julia Borer of Lorain, Esther Kay of Florida and Elizabeth Romot of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lydia (nee Pogan) Bodi; her son, Michael Borer in 2017; and a sister, Lydia Peters.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of services at 2:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
