LeRoy E. Hale, age 75, of Lorain, died on Monday, February 6, 2006 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.
Born on July 20, 1930 in Wellsburg, West Virginia, he has lived in Lorain for the past 50 years.
He retired from US Steel where he was employed as a rigger.
He was a active member of the New Apostolic Church, Lorain, where he was a member for 50 years.
He is survived by his sons: Donald E. Hale, of Dayton, Roy G. Hale, of Lorain, daughters: Lee Ann Vovak, of Lorain, Charlene Goetz, of Strongsville, OH and Melody Poole, of Carolton, Texas, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Charlotte May (Coen) Gump and brother: Wayne, who died in World War II.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, at 11:00 A.M. at the New Apostolic Church, 3929 Leavitt Road, Lorain for a service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights, Ohio at a later date held privately by family.
The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
