Lester “Tom” “Les” Tummel, age 83, of Lorain, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange, Ohio.
Born July 3, 1939, in Cleveland, he lived in Sheffield before moving to Lorain in 1975.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He as a member of the American Legion and enjoyed coin collecting and watching NASCAR and wrestling.
Surviving are his sons, Ray (Salathiel) Tummel of the Philippines and John (Denise) Tummel of Wellington; daughter, Manuela (Seth) Comire of Rhode Island; 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and a brother John Tummel of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Gertrud (nee Hartmann) in 2014; parents, Lester and Mildred (nee Strong) Tummel Sr.; brother, Philip Tummel; sister, Elma Seigel; and a grandson Matthew Tummel.
Private visitation will be held at the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Burial to take place at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
