LeVaughn Bonnie Temple (nee Moore) 88 of Lorain, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Columbus Colony Elderly Care in Westerville, Ohio following a lengthy illness.
Born May 14, 1921 in Washington, PA; she has lived in Lorain for many years.
While living in Washington, PA, she worked in hotel maintenance. She had also worked as a seamstress.
LeVaughn had volunteered at Community Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of Lorain County, working with deaf seniors. She was very active with the Lorain Seniors Center. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and participating in activities at the senior center. She was an avid seamstress.
Surviving is her son, Albert Vinsko; a daughter, Judy Mason; and her dear friend, Susan Bungard and family. She leaves behind her loving friends at Community Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of Lorain County, Columbus Colony Elderly Care, Lorain Senior Center and at Fligner's Market.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Henry; parents, Albert and Elizabeth (nee Bescak) Moore; and her siblings, Annie, Harold, David and Abbie.
Visitation will be Friday, January 22, 2010 from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. David Woolsey, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, Avon, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
