Lillian Bailey (nee Coleman), 94, of Lorain, died on Friday, June 2, 2006 at Lake Pointe Health Center, (formerly Ohio Extended Care Center), Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 29, 1911 in Birmingham, Alabama.
She was employed at Ted Jacobs as a salesperson. Prior to this she was employed as a housekeeper for the Richard Reidy Family, Avon Oaks Nursing Home and Riverside Nursing Home and Nord Center, Home Health Care.
She was a member of Fairfield Christian Center of Worship & Praise International, Lorain (formerly known as Fairfield Baptist Church) where she was the oldest mother of the church.
She is survived by her foster-son: Chester Lupinski of Lorain and foster-daughter: Rosaline "Marie" Carter, of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Theodore Bailey in 1979, son: Nathanial Eldridge, Jr. and parents: John and Shifonia (nee Pierce) Coleman.
Friends will be received on Saturday, June 10, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Bishop Dennis Johnson, pastor of Fairfield Christian Center of Worship & Praise International will officiate. Burial will be held in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
