Linda S. Phillips, 61, of Sheffield Lake, died Monday, July 24, 2006 at her residence while under the care of New Life Hospice follow a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 3, 1944 in Hundred, West Virginia; she was a life long resident of Sheffield Lake.
Linda graduated from Brookside High School in 1963, and received an accounting degree from Lorain County Community College.
She worked as an accountant for Kohlmyer Supply Co., in Lorain for over 30 years.
She was a member of Tower Baptist Church, and Beta Sigma Phi Laureatt Beta Eth Sorority.
She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.
Surviving is her mother, Vada Phillips of Sheffield Lake; brothers, George Phillips and Richard Phillips both of Massillon; a sister, Vicki Garner of Sheffield Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, George E. Phillips in 1970.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday 5 - 9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Terry Brooks, pastor of Tower Baptist Church, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
