Louis A. "Corky" Buga, 62, of Lorain, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Mercy New Life Hopice in Lorain following a lengthy illness.
Born April 6, 1955 in Lorain, he moved to Vermilion in 1983. In 2012, he moved back to Lorain where he has lived since.
Corky worked as a material handler at the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant for 30 years retiring in 2003. He had worked for Giant Eagle in Amherst as a stocker for 6 years. Most recently he worked as a security officer Whittguard Security Services for 3 years.
He was a member of the United Autoworkers Union Local 425 and the Harley Owners Group. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed family get-togethers. He loved riding his motorcycle, taking care of his lawn, going out to eat, watching TV Land, golfing and playing poker.
Surviving are his children, Louis A. Buga, Jason M. (Antionette) Buga and Meghan (Francisco) Torres all of Lorain, Donald W. Bellamy and Andrea N. Buga both of Sandusky, Andrew K. (Samantha Hubbard) Buga of Amherst, Adam E. (Shayna) Buga of Vermilion and Alyssa K. Buga of Norfolk, VA; 7 grandchildren; a brother, Patrick Buga of Lorain; and a sister, Laurie Kloss of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his father Louis E. Buga, Jr. in 1999 and a mother, Anne Marie (nee Bessellera) Buga in 2012.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. Rev.
