Louise J. Janosik

Louise J. Janosik (nee Ziberna), 87 of Sheffield Lake, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
Born June 5, 1927 in Lorain, she moved to Sheffield Lake in 1950. She was a graduate of Lorain High School, class of 1945B.
Louise was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Sheffield Lake, where she was a member of the Lady's Guild. She was a 20 year member of the Secular Franciscan Order of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Lorain. Louise volunteered with the Sheffield Lake Meals on Wheels for many years. Every day Louise enjoyed praying the Rosary and going to church. Louise loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Joseph P. (Deborah) of Avon and Mark (Laura) of Amherst Twp; daughters, Jo Marie (Kenneth) Chutes, Kathleen Janosik and Marian (Ronald) Biltz all of Sheffield Lake; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Joseph F. Janosik in 1982; parents, Frank and Josephine (nee Popik) Ziberna; and a sister, Sylvia Banovich.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at 9:15 am in the funeral home followed by mass at 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 521 Harris Road, Sheffield Lake. Rev. Stephen Shields, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
