Luis A. Ramos

Luis A. Ramos passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from a sudden health complication at the age of 39.

A lifelong resident of Lorain, Luis was born October 30, 1985, and attended Lorain City School. He graduated from Lorain Admiral King in 2004. Luis excelled as an all-around athlete in sports while in high school and after. He played baseball, softball, kickball, soccer, and darts. He was fortunate to have participated in several sports championships.

Luis was a versatile individual, known for his hard work and dedication. He held certifications in welding and masonry, and his career spanned several trades. His diverse skills and achievements, from truck driving to sports, made him a true jack of all trades.

He is survived by his loving parents, Luis and Sylvia (nee Rosario) Ramos, and his dear sister, Lissette Ramos. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alonso and Antonia (nee Silva) Nieves, and paternal grandparents, Fernando and Carmen (nee Santiago) Ramos.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Additional visitation will be on Monday from 8:30 am until the time of mass at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave., Lorain. The mass will be officiated by Rev. William Thaden, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
