Luis Diaz Reyes, age 90, of Bronx, New York died on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Jacobi Hospital in New York, following a short illness.
He was born on June 8, 1914 in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He moved to New York in 1942 from Puerto Rico.
He had worked at LA Central in Puerto Rico, before coming to New York. In New York he worked for a clothing factory.
He is survived by his 2 nieces: Angelique Yost, of Lorain, and Sonia Rivas, of North Ridgeville, 1 brother: Leocadio Diaz, of New York, and 2 sisters: Julia Diaz, of Lorain, and Ana Diaz of Humacao, Puerto Rico.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Segundo and Juana (nee Reyes) Diaz DelValle, 3 brothers: David, Juan and Florentino and 3 sisters: America Diaz, Eva Gloria Diaz and Gloria Diaz.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 7, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 noon at House of Praise International Church, 4321 Elyria Avenue, Sheffield Township, Ohio. Rev. Bob Kistemaker of House of Praise will officiate. Burial in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp., OH will follow.
