Luis A. "Guiso" Santiago, age 60, of Lorain, died on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center - West, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 2, 1946 in Coamo, Puerto Rico, he lived most of his life in Lorain.
Luis enjoyed old cars and playing dominoes.
He is survived by his wife: Evelyn (nee Padilla) Santiago, sons: Louie A. Santiago, of Elyria, William D. Santiago, of Elyria, Paul A. Santiago, of Elyria, Luis A. Santiago, Jr. of Lorain, daughters: Stacey L. Bakos, of Elyria, Kathy M. Lopez of De Victoria, Puerto Rico and Stacey A. Santiago, of Lorain, 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, 5 brothers, 4 sisters: Rosa M. DeLeon, of Puerto Rico, Norma I. Matias, of Lorain, Maria "Ita" Santiago, of Lorain and Carmen I. Alvarado, of Lorain, and 4 half sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Pablo and Domiciana Ortiz, sons: Luis Antonio and Antonio Luis .
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 4, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m.
Rev. Angel Luis Rivera, pastor of La Iglesia De Dios, Inc. will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
