Luisa Delgado (nee Rivera), age 94, of Grafton, died Wednesday, April 05, 2023, at her residence while under the care of Hospice of the Western Reserve following a lengthy illness.
Born April 3, 1929, in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, she moved to Lorain in 1953. In 1983, she moved to Grafton to live with her daughter.
Luisa was a homemaker, having enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain, where she served as a eucharistic minister, active with the Marriage Encounter and Cursillo Movement.
Surviving are her daughters, Hilda Fazekas of Grafton and Carmen Pomales of Florida; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Teresa Velez of Florida; nephews, Herson, John, and David Rivera; and nieces, Ivette Immorino, and Carmen, Elva, and Roxana Rivera.
Luisa was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Cesareo Pagan Delgado, in 2007; son, Angel Luis Pagan, in 2010; daughter, Sara Pagan, in 1948; brother, Carmelo; and sisters, Celia Diaz, Aida Rivera, Adela Rivera, and Rosita Rivera.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of mass at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. William Thaden, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
