Margaret "Peggy" Argenti

Margaret A. “Peggy” Argenti (nee Hostetler), age 91, of Lorain, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, at Amherst Manor Retirement Community following a lengthy illness.

Born on Tuesday, January 20, 1931, in Collier Township, Pennsylvania, Peggy came to Lorain in 1941.

Peggy was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Parish in Lorain.

She loved taking care of her home and enjoyed baking.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Benjamin (Janice) Argenti Jr. of Lorain and Paul (Cindy) Argenti of Vermilion; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren; and brothers, Arthur Hostetler, Frank Hostetler and Bruce Hostetler.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Benjamin J. Argenti Sr. in 2006; parents, Roy and Mildred (nee Waser) Hostetler; daughter, Denise Steele on February 10, 2022; son, William “Bill” Argenti in 2012; and many brothers and sisters.

The family held private visitation and funeral services in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  Rev. Neil Walters, administrator of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Parish officiated. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
