Margaret M. Nagy, (nee Meszes) age 82, of Lorain, died on Friday, July 08, 2011 in the Emergency Room at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain.
She was born on July 12, 1928 in Lynch, Kentucky, and lived in Lorain since 1938. She was a graduate of South Amherst High School in 1946.
She was employed as a cashier at Admiral King High School in the cafeteria dept. during the 1970's. Prior to this, she was employed at General Industries and Marshall's Drug Store.
She was member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church until it's closing, and then joined the Catholic Church of St. Peter. She was a member of the St. Stan's Renewal Team, past recording secretary of St. Stan's P.T.A., past vice president of St. Stan's Women's Guild, a greeter at St. Stan's, and a member of the mixed bowling league.
She is survived by her sons; Joseph, of Sheffield Lake, Larry, of Broadview Heights, and Raymond, of Defiance, OH, her daughters; Margaret Ann Avery, of New York City, NY and Elaine Busser, of Villages, FL, her granddaughter, Jaimie Lynn, and great granddaughter, Jasmyne.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph R., son, Greg, parents; Frank and Julia (nee Sedensky) Meszes, and her brother, Tom Meszes.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 11, 2011 from 4-8 p.m., in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass, at the Catholic Church of St. Peter. The Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
