Margaret Louise Singer (nee Canter), age 62, of Lorain, died on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic, following a brief illness.
She was born on February 5, 1950 in Lorain, and was a life-long resident of the state of Ohio. Margaret was employed at the Steel Mill and Lorain City Schools in the janitorial service dept. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word-searches, and watching soap operas.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 20 years, William J., son, Thomas Carpenter, of Jackson, OH, daughters; Holly (Michael) Strock, of Elyria and Crystal (Chris) Carter, of Vermilion, 4 grandchildren; Logan, Samantha, Comacho, and Kayla, brothers; Delbert, of Elyria, Robert, of Amherst, and Kenneth, of Kentucky, sisters; Elizabeth Skidmore, of Elyria, Donna Bruce, of Lorain, and Pamela Gallaher, of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Eli and Lucille (nee Perry) Canter, a daughter, Tammy Coburn, brothers; Paul Canter and John Canter, and a sister, Juanita Mavros.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 10:00 am until funeral services, at 12:00 pm., in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Burial will follow in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
Contributions, in her memory, may be made to the Dovin Funeral Home, to assist the family in funeral expenses.
