Margaret A. "Marge" Uszak, (nee Hornick), age 84, of Lorain, died on Friday, May 29, 2009 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, following a 3 year illness.
She was born on February 26, 1925 in Youngstown, living most of her life in Lorain. She was a 1943B graduate of Lorain High.
Marge was employed as a secretary at American Cruciable from 1943-1949, and for her brother-in-law, Dr. Peter A. Butrey.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Guild. She was also a member of the "24th Street Gang."
She enjoyed, reading, bowling and cooking, but most importantly, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, Frank J., Jr. (Maria), of Lorain, Michael A. (Melody), of Rome City, IN, daughter, Barbara J. (Richard) Bobrowski, of Lorain, grandchildren; Matthew A. Bobrowski, Stephen L. Uszak, Ryan P. Uszak, Jennifer M. Uszak and John M. Uszak and her sister, Mildred (Dr. Peter A.) Butrey, of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Frank J. in 1985, parents, Andrew in 1951 and Mary (nee Mudri) Hornick in 1955, sister, Mary (Vincent) Lindway, and her brothers; Joseph, Andrew, John, Steven, Frank and Edward.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. David Novak, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
