Margaret R. Wiczulis, (nee Barath), 84, of Lorain, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain.
She was born Feb. 17, 1927 in Crescent, Ohio, living in Yorkville, Ohio, before coming to Lorain in 1948.
Margaret worked as an Avon representative for 20 years. She was a past member of the Lorain Women's Club where she had served as president of the organization, and a member of the Women of the Moose, Lodge No. 552, in Lorain. She loved to spend time with her friends and playing bingo.
Surviving is her son, Ed of Lakewood; daughter, Pat Wiczulis of North Canton; 2 grandchildren; and a brother, Louis "Peggy" Barath of Flagler, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George in 1998; parents, Laslo and Julia Barath; brothers, Paul, Al, Stephen, and Leslie; and a sister Julia Phillips.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Stone Lab, an Ohio State University-affiliated biological research facility located near Put-In-Bay.
