Margaretta B. Schindler (nee Nething), 85 of Lorain, died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Rae Ann Suburban, Westlake, following a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 29, 1922 in Wheeling, W.VA, she lived in Hannibal, OH, before settling in Lorain in the early 1940's.
An extraordinary parent and grandparent, Margaretta was very much loved. She enjoyed art, painting pictures and signs, quilting and gardening.
Surviving are her daughters, Sheila Naro of Lorain, and Maxine Schindler of Amherst; grandchildren, Eli Naro, Ethan Naro and Elaine Pawlak all of Lorain, Susie Shernit and Alex Shernit both of Amherst; great grandchildren, Heidi Naro and Max Pawlak both of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max John Schindler in 1996; parents, Lewis Nething and Lovena (nee Pugh) Schindler; brothers, Gene, Bill and Ray.
Funeral services where held privately for the family. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, handled the arrangements.
