Margarita Gonzalez

Margarita Gonzalez, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2021 at her residence in Akron, Ohio.

Born February 8, 1935 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Alfredo and Carmen Gonzalez, she moved to Lorain in 1948 and then later to Akron in 2014. In 1971 she worked for Green Circle Growers until her retirement in 1991.

She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers.

Surviving are her sons, Nelson Gonzalez, Johnnie Gonzalez, Richard Gonzalez, Jerry Gonzalez, Pedro Gonzalez Jr., and David Gonzalez; daughters, Carmen Childress, Nancy Robinson and Mary Jane Gonzalez as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Pedro R. Gonzalez; daughter, Margarita Gibbs as well as both of parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 22 from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Deacon Tony DeGracia of Sacred Heart Chapel will officiate. Inurnment will be held on Saturday, October 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
