Margarita Ramos-Torres

Margarita "Margot" Ramos Torres, age 87, of Lorain, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at her daughter's residence while under the care of New Life Hospice following a brief illness.
Born September 2, 1929 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, she came to Lorain in 1989.
Margarita was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Domingo Ortiz Torres Jr of Lorain, Edwin (Carmen) Ortiz Ramos of Apopka, Florida and Eli Ortiz Ramos of Coamo, Puerto Rico; daughters, Aida M. (Jose) Zayas and Cindy (Ricky) Marrero both of Lorain; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo Ortiz in 1987; sons, Edgar Ortiz Ramos, Enrique Ortiz Ramos; parents, Diego and Juana Maria (nee Torres) Ramos; brothers, Guadalupe, Teofilo; sisters, Lala Hernandez, Carmen Flores, Maria Figueroa, Virginia Torres, Catalina Figueroa; and a great granddaughter, Brenda Lee Ortiz.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 pm. Rev.
