Maria J. Cisneros, of Mentor, OH, formerly of Lorain, died on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at HCR - Manor Care, Willoughby, after a brief illness.
She was born in Mexico. She had to moved to Lorain in 1924 from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she had resided until she moved to Mentor 16 years ago.
Maria was employed by US Steel at the #3 Seamless Finishing End., where she had worked for 28 years, finally retiring in 1972.
She was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lorain. Maria enjoyed gardening, watching the CNN News, listening to music, cooking, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter; Becky Rozic, of Mentor, her son, Benito Cisneros, of Lorain, her son-in-law, Hank Warzybok, of California, her 5 grandchildren, her 7 great grandchildren, and a brother, Jim Ramirez, of Port Arthur, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zeferino Cisneros, in 1960, and a daughter, Dolores Warzybok, in 1987, and her son, John Cisneros, in 2005.
The family held private services. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain handled arrangements.
