Maria Marquez

Maria L. Marquez (nee Rodriguez) 59, of Lorain, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake, following a brief illness.
Born July 10, 1956 in Lorain, she has lived in Lorain her entire life. Maria graduated from Admiral King High School in 1974.
Maria was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, crocheting, taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
Surviving is her son, Angel Rodriguez Sr. of Lorain; daughters, Yvonne Marquez, Marquita Marquez and Rosa Marquez all of Lorain; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Jesus Rodriguez Jr. and Anthony Rodriguez both of Lorain; and sisters, Carolyn Raccio, Anna Comstock, Sonia Carroll, Carmen Knick and Theresa Burson all of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Helen (nee Chedester) Rodriguez Sr.; and a grandchild, Nevaeh Velez.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 8:45 am in the funeral home followed by mass at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. William Thaden, pastor will officiate.
