Maria T. Sanchez, 36, of Lorain, died December 22, 2008 at Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain following a lengthy illness.
Born March 25, 1972 in Lorain, she lived in Columbus for a short time before returning to Lorain in 2006.
Maria graduated from Lorain High School in 1991 and attended Lorain County Community College. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, crafts and reading.
Surviving is her son, Manuel Hernandez Sanchez of Lorain; her mother, Sandra (nee Spencer), of Lorain; brothers, Domingo (Amanda) Sanchez, David Baez, George Sanchez and Luis Sanchez all of Lorain; sisters, Annette (Juan) Collins and Angela (Brian) Sanchez both of Columbus, Rosa Sanchez of Lorain, and Diana Schnike of Knoxville, TN; and a special cousin, Nuria Solis-Oyola of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by sister, Linda Sanchez in 1978.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 27, 2008 from 3:00 -5:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dovin Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses.
