Maria Toledo

Maria L. Toledo (nee Beltran), age 100 of Lorain, passed away peacefully on Friday, surrounded by her beloved family.

Born March 12,1923 in Lares, Puerto Rico to Virgilio and Juanita Beltran (Molina).  Maria moved to Lorain in 1954.  She was employed as a dietary aide at Lorain Community Hospital (aka Mercy). She devoted her life as an active member of Templo Emmanuel, Assemblies of God in Lorain.

She loved reading scriptures, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, and other crafts.  Maria’s love of life was being with her family and you could always find her in the kitchen preparing meals for them.

Surviving are her children, Angel (Martha) Toledo, Carmen (Wilfredo) Corcino, Freddesvinda Miller and daughter-in-law Chery Toledo; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jose E. Toledo in 1994, children; Victor M. Toledo, Hector E. Toledo, Margaret Velasquez and granddaughter, Celina Toledo, her siblings, Rafael, Oscar, Abraham, Anna, Romona, and Carmen.
