Marie Driver (nee Hall), 82, of Lorain, died Monday, December 4, 2006 at Kingston of Vermilion following a short illness.
She was born Nov. 1, 1924 in Galveston, Kentucky; coming to Lorain in 1953 where she has lived since.
Marie worked for local area restaurants from 1953 until retiring in 1971.
She enjoyed reading quilting, do it yourself home projects, pets, flower gardening, and spending time with her family.
Surviving is her son, Ronald of Hickory, North Carolina; daughters, Helen Weaver and Brenda Driver both of Lorain; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Leonard J. Driver in 2003; parents, Lee Hall and Bertha (nee McGowan) Hall; a son, Randall Lee Driver in 2004; and 2 brothers.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon followed by burial. Cecil Copley, minister of Church of Christ, LaGrange, will officiate.
