Mark Bodi

Mark A. Bodi, age 51, of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born March 8, 1973, in Lorain, Mark graduated from Lorain High School in 1992 and served in the United States Marine Corps. He then worked for the Lorain City School District for 20 years and was currently the maintenance supervisor at Lorain High School.

He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed coaching his sons' little league teams. Mark was also a self-taught auto mechanic and liked working on cars.

Surviving are his sons, Nicholas Bodi of Sullivan and Gavyn Bodi of Amherst; his father, John Bodi of Lorain; brothers, Steven (Michelle) Bodi of Elyria and Michael (Micah) Bodi of Columbus; and sisters, Marie Bodi and Elizabeth Bodi both of Avon, and Christine Bodi of Lorain.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet (nee Drozdowski) Bodi, in 2017.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m. Obed Melendez, a certified life celebrant will officiate.
