Mark B. “Sharkk” Kelley, age 69, of Vermilion, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.
Born December 24, 1952, to the late George Kelley and Betty (nee Dowler) Kelley in Elyria, Ohio, Mark grew up in Henrietta Township and lived in the Lorain County area before moving to Vermilion in 2021. Following graduation from Firelands High School in 1971, he served in the Vietnam War. Mark was Manufacturing Manager at BekoTek Mfg. Inc. for over 20 years, retiring in 2015.
Mark was a loving dad and grandfather. He was a huge sports fan. Mark loved fishing and had a wide variety of talents from photography, hunting, gardening, cooking, aquariums to auto body work, installing swimming pools. He loved strategy computer games and was an excellent chess player.
Surviving are his daughters, Jennifer (Mike) of Amherst, and Stephanie (Rodney) of Vermilion; grandchildren, Jordon, Tyler, Johmarius, and Randreus, mother, Betty Kelley, ex-wife Yvonne Kelley, siblings: Brian, Galen, Patrick, Jack, and Charlene Kelley.
Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Dave, wife Bonnie, and wife Ann.
Following Marks's wishes, no services will be held. The Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Lorain is handling the arrangements.
