Mark A. Mezatasta, 54, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at University Hospital in Cleveland following a lengthy illness.
Born October 27, 1961 in Lorain, he lived in Wellington for 10 years before moving to LaGrange last year. Mark graduated from Lorain Admiral King in 1979 and served in the Army Nation Guard.
Mark was a career iron worker and for the past 15 years he worked for the Iron Workers Union Local 17.
He loved Ebay and going to garage sales. He also had a passion for gardening and the outdoors including fishing and camping. Mark loved his family and all of his friends and always had a smile on his face no matter what the odds were.
Surviving is his son, Mark (Liz) Mezatasta II of LaGrange; parents, Jack and Barbara (nee Rigo) Mezatasta of Lorain; brothers, Joseph of Wakeman and Gregory of Lorain; and a niece, Olivia Mezatasta of Lorain.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 until the time of services at 5:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Karen Farthing of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Lorain, will officiate.
