Marta Iris DeJesus (nee Boria), age 55, of Lorain, died Monday, April 11, 2005, in Community Health Partners Hospital, in Lorain, after a sudden illness.
She was born September 13, 1949 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and came to Lorain from there 6 years ago.
She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, watching soap operas, and dancing.
She is survived by a son, Jose A. Acevedo, of Lorain, daughters; Elizabeth Rodriguez, Frances Merced, and Zullymir Rodriguez, all of Lorain, Reina Acevedo, of Kissimmee, FL, Edma Edeno, of Tampa, FL, and Zulika Cotto, of Philadelphia, PA, 15 grandchildren, her parents, Nicola and Fransisca Boria, of Puerto Rico, and numerous brothers and sisters.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Iris Guzman in 1997, and a son Angel Jose Acevedo in 2003.
The Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2005 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Iglesia Manantial, Broadway at East 35th Street, Lorain, where services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Rev Juan A. Rivera will officiate, burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
