Marta M. Perez, 52, of Lorain, died Sunday, April 02, 2006 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center West following a brief illness.
She was born March 1, 1954 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico; she lived in Canovanas, Puerto Rico and then Orlando, Florida, before coming to Lorain in 2003.
She attended Casa De Dios y Perto Del Cielo, and enjoyed cooking.
Surviving is her husband, Rafael Davila; sons, James Perez of Lorain, Joe Carrasquillo of Lorain, and Jeffrey Lopez of Orlando, Florida; daughters, Alice Morales of Orlando, Florida, Bridgette Morales of Canovanas, Puerto Rico, and Francis Marin of Lorain; her mother, Maria Perez of Orlando, Florida; 14 grandchildren; 1 brother and 2 sisters.
She was preceded in death by her father, Domingo Perez in 2002.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Casa De Dios y Perto Del Cielo, 218 E. 28th Street, Lorain, and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Tina Martinez, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements
